| - By the far the cheapest tappenyaki/hibachi around town. You can seriously get by dinner here for $15 while other places charge $50-80 per plate. Ridiculous!! I was really surprised when I saw the menu on how cheap it was. Especially with the great quality of the food here.
I can only rate on the hibachi section (where they cook your food in front of you) since that's the only part I've experienced. You first start out with a small soup and salad. Veggies are already included in your cooked meal. You choose between fried rice and fried noodle (basically chow mein). Then you pick your meat. They have a pretty good range including chicken, NY steam, filet minion, shrimp, calamari, kobe, etc. They really slab a lot of the food with butter, but I assume that's why it all taste so good.
Chefs are very entertaining. They do all sorts of tricks with their knives and try to entertain you with the food.
The only reason why I am taking off one star is because I encountered 1 chef that was a bit rude. Usually when I come here, all the chefs are pleasant and funny. Recently when I came, the chef asked how I like my steak cooked. So I said "well done." He gave me a nasty look and said "really? Why bother get filet minion then?" It caught me off guard as he came off like that. In my head, I thought why does it matter? He should of just cooked it the way I requested. I felt like he was complaining because he was impatient and didn't wanna keep standing there just to cook mine. It shouldn't matter how one likes their steak...just cook it. I wanted to complain to the manager, but I didn't wanna make that big of a deal of it.
So I'm sorry if you encounter a douchebag chef, but most of them are really nice. Just hope it doesn't offset or ruin your night.
Praying that y'all get a decent chef next time. ~
