Staff talks inappropriately and aloud so patients can hear it. Nurse Susan was making fun of me to other staff members because I was upset and speaking with my mother, she mocked a patient, unacceptable and grossly unprofessional. How does that show any compassion? I was repeatedly attempted to be discharged when my problem wasn't solved, I was still in great pain that was chronic. The doctor also instructed his staff to give me morphine for my pain, and was not aware they still hadn't when I was crawling in my skin from the nausea I had been experiencing for 4 solid months. I came to this hospital to get to the bottom of a problem that no GI specialist could, I feel I gave the ER and this doctor a chance to break the mold on how Hospitals are these days and go above and beyond for a patient, just like they did during residencies. I was basically given a cocktail of narcos and discharged to an Uber driver when I had overstayed my welcome. I did want to mention that the younger nursing staff, Anthony and Erin, always spoke respectfully and worthy compassion, through my many requests in my condition. The more tenured could take some tips from these to in patient care.
