Airline calls me frantic that my husband "left his suitcase unattended" in front of the baggage drop desk while traveling to Casablanca from Montreal. They call me a second time, clearly concerned that my husband is acting suspiciously. Due to his lack of service he is unreachable by phone and of course I'm concerned. Air Canada refuses to send the suitcase on the next flight out (fyi they had the code for the suitcase to search it as needed if they wanted to). When I do talk with my hisband, he tells me he has a receipt. Now, tell me why he has a receipt from checking his suitcase at the counter and his suitcase ends up unattended in front of the check-in desk?? They agree to ship it only after they find out about the receipt and it's been 4 days already with no sign of the suitcase and the agents just told him to file a claim... Only 45 dollars a day for each day u dont have it (if claim is approved) A lot of good that will do when u have to buy all new clothes and toiletries anyway... No one got their presents either. It's STILL ruining the only 2 weeks (American vacation allowance per year) he had to spend with his family... I've never heard of anything like this. YOU MAY REGRET FLYING WITH AIR CANADA. Please just pay a little more and go with a better airline. I wouldn't wish this on anyone!
