| - 11/2015 - I am cheap when it comes to sushi, and for several years got my fix with Giant Eagle Market District sushi, but they changed vendors and I was so disappointed in them that I FINALLY caved and got some sushi at a real restaurant. It also gave me a chance to indulge my craving for ikura (big, luscious, salty salmon roe/eggs), which the grocery stores just don't have.
I got lunch here last week and got my ikura and tamago sushi fix. I was not thrilled with the pork tonkatsu... I thought the pork was very dry... but the sushi was yummy. And that's why I went back last night for take-out to sate my ikura jones. I also picked up a Maki Supreme dinner with three rolls: Rainbow Roll, Dragon Roll and Rock 'n Roll. OMG - they were all awesome! Seriously, five-plus stars! Sushi is a luxury indulgence for me. I hope I have not just become addicted, or I'll go broke. I cannot recommend Little Tokyo Bistro on the Southside enough. PS - the staff is very nice, and if eating in, the restaurant is lovely!
07/2016 - I have been ordering for pick-up here almost weekly for the last few months. The same thing every time, so I call up, they look me up by phone number, and say 'same order?'', and I say 'yup'. I'm so addicted. Trying to make sure I don't order more than once a week because I'd like to retire some day...
The staff is lovely, too!
