rev:text	On Wednesday, July 8th at 10:50pm, I boarded the High Roller. Luckily our group found a Groupon for One happy half hour late night package with open bar for two: valid 7pm to 1am ($75). Plus, we had 20% off on top of the Groupon price, so it ended up being $30 per person. Make sure to check in and select a time before you plan on actually going on the High Roller. We dropped by, went and had dinner and then came back. I heard someone say they offer top shelf liquor for the open bar, but that's not true. It's the standard liquor you would expect with Jack Daniels being the whiskey. I'm a dark drinker, so I stuck to Jack and Coke. I heard someone try to order a red bull vodka, but unfortunately, they don't have any energy drinks. Since I couldn't drink much during this open bar, I was excited that they offered Fiji water. With the one cocktail I consumed, I'm pretty sure I drank enough Fiji water to make up for the rest of the cocktails I didn't consume. Now onto the reason for this, the Ferris Wheel! I love ferris wheels since I love views. But I realize I love them when it's quiet and serene. I've been on a number of them, but it's always been with 1-3 other people. Being in a pod with loud drinkers took a little away from that. At night, the lights of Vegas are great, but it didn't feel like we were at the top for very long. And you can't see anything on the desert side since it's just darkness. I'm glad I finally tried the ferris wheel with friends that wanted to go as this might have been something I'd drag the roommate on. Great to try once, but I wouldn't do it again.
