| - Almost 4 stars for the sushi which is way better than average Pittsburgh sushi though you are paying for it. Didn't try entrees.
Atmosphere - interesting for a hotel restaurant, cold (wear a sweater).
Service - excellent, not sure where the bad reviews come in here or we hit it lucky, even in our fairly casual (isn't casual okay almost everywhere in Pittsburgh?) with 2 kids we had individual attention, expert description of menu items, and customization (hot sauces on the side to accommodate the younger palates).
Food - of the 2 soups - the cream of crab was an excellent example of kind, too creamy for me but perfect for the other eaters at the table, do yourself a favor and avoid the gumbo which was more like a pureed brown gravy with no chunks of sausage shrimp clam mussel to be found for $12 I think. Children's menus are always appreciated - pasta with tomato sauce (1 of three topping choices) on the side served the purpose admirably for 5.95.
Sushi (maki actually) - now we come to the reason to be here, while expensive, this is good stuff especially for Pittsburgh. The specialty rolls with extra fish along the top - great. Really enjoyed the one with jalapeno pepper though not sure why salmon across the top is chopped with - maybe - mayo.
Wine - nice wine flight to try for $16 - 3 reds.
Price - yes, other reviewers, the prices here are high - you are at a Westin. Hotel restaurants are always overpriced. That said, I'd come here in a flash for sushi and if I ended up here for a hotel I'd be thrilled to find this as the hotel restaurant.
