This is my new favourite bakery in Chinatown on Spadina. The walk is a bit longer for me but the service is better than my previous fave on Dundas (called Chinese Bakery which I just reviewed), as well as the competition Ding Dong a few doors down and Furama south of Dundas. This bakery has everything the others have as prices are 3 for $1 for most mainstay pastries and buns and the others are decent size. Service here is better too as the young gal that seems to run the place is likely the manager or owner and more friendly but none of them are here to chat with you so don't expect much.
Quality is good though the taste in some items are not as sweet so some may find their taste neutral which is the only reason they didn't get a 5 star from me. Freshness is excellent too as they make it in the back and they have more than the competition when the others are running out. Place is surprisingly cleaner than most considering it's a white decor. It's a bit farther to get to for me but worth the walk. I usually avoid these places when my belt is too tight so definitely not good if you're on any type of diet but a solid 4 stars for me when I'm in the mood :)
