  • I really wanted to like this store. But every time I have shopped here, I have walked out feeling bad, and life is too short to feel bad while shopping!! Bottom line: if you are in middle school or less than 22 years old, this might be the store for you. If not, probably not... Needless to say, I am older than 22. Interested? read on... for some tips on the best resale stores in town... It seemed like a cool enough place at first, then... there's no bathroom for customers. What?!?! You have to skulk into the restaurant next door and pretend you are a patron or order some food so you can use the customer restrooms. What were the owners thinking? But I really wanted to like this store, so... Buying experience: At first, I thought they were great - coupons for discounts from texting a code to email to birthday discounts... then - rotten timing - my birthday happened to be in the same month that another coupon was active and I couldn't get the discount. I went again and some other reason kept me from using yet another discount. I literally couldnt get the discount they were offering three times... I did buy a couple of nice things, but had to pay 'full price' coz the discounts they offered didn't work. Selling experience: It seems like selling clothes would be an easy thing at this store - after all, their advertisement basically says Bring your clothes, they pay cash, trade up your wardrobe. Hmmm... Not in my case! Now, I am not the most haute couture dresser in the world, but I buy good name brands, Lauren, Makali, Guess, Abercrombie & Fitch, VS, Ann Taylor, etc... and I took a couple of bags of clothes and shoes and accessories in, which included a couple of things I had previously bought from them. Much to my shock and dismay, the gal who checked them out gave me the bags back, buying nothing for the store, claiming that the items were "too mature". I looked at her with disbelief and asked what she meant by that - and she said their clientele were from MIDDLE SCHOOL TO 22 YEARS OLD. My observation was that she didn't even look into one of the bags, as the items were exactly as they looked when I brought them in, with everything in the same order. And the truth is that several of the items in that bag were items I had bought from them a few weeks prior - and yet none were worthy of being even looked at, much less taken into their store, though the window signs say exactly that they work that way... Buy and wear today, sell tomorrow - not exactly.... Too Mature? TOO MATURE?? Who teaches these kids customer service? Did she think that would make me, the consigner, feel ok about being rejected wholesale and turned away without a smile? Really? Based on results, obviously it didn't work... You want to know where I will be shopping from now on? Stores where I feel good after my experience - not at this one, where I always walk out feeling bad - it's not worth it. And the deals aren't THAT good here anyway. These are the places I would recommend instead of this place - places where you can get a good deal and feel good about your experience every time: -HALO Thrift Boutique - Great deals, and a wonderful give back to the animals -Rescued Treasures Charity Boutique - another place for deals and a give back to animals -Turn Style (ok place, not my fave, but some good deals there) -My Sister's Closet (great stuff and they donate each season to HALO, above) -Poor Little Rich Girl (some deals once in awhile) -A Second Look (nice system of reducing prices over time - lots of good finds) AND all of these stores have customer bathrooms... And if you are ever in SoCal, Check out Always Fabulous (ask for Heather) and Return Engagement (ask for Alicia) and enjoy the great items and great deals! With so many other choices, why go to a place that makes you feel bad, hold your bladder, or both? Life is too short and this store isn't worth my time ever again.
