| - Very good food, nice ambiance, but dining room too cold.
As appetizer, I had a half order of squid ink gnudi. The gnudi (which is like gnocchi) was very tasty and interesting, but I would have preferred it less salty. The Le Bella Farm Duck, $27, was my entree. The menu said breast, confit and apricot tortellini, roasted pigs foot and parmesan brood, pickled celery, dandelion, burnt lemon. It was complex and quite good. Not a large portion (but that's fine). Perhaps the "brood" was the sauce? Overall, a nice, complex combination of tastes and textures. I liked how the burnt lemon's flavor and the celery's texture complemented the rather-rare duck. For dessert I had the dark chocolate souffle cake. After the complexities and somewhat exotic appetizer and entree, it was nice to have something more familiar for dessert. The cake was excellent -- not too sweet, which I liked. Dinner for two (no drinks) for $91 before tip. I'd say it was worth it.
When we arrived at 5:30pm on a Thursday (no reservation) we were one of two couples dining. By 6:30, most tables were filled.
I wish they would turn down the air conditioner; it was too cold in there.
