| - Kensington's Blue Banana Market claims to turn "seen it, have it, bored with it" into "love it, want it, gotta get it" -- and this statement couldn't be more true.
This market-style shop features one-of-a-kind items from more than 150 of today's most inspired artists. Throughout this two-story wonderland you'll find clothing, furniture, jewelery, art, bath & spa products and much, much more. One of my favourite areas of the store is the books and stationery section near the front which is filled with hilariously quirky books, (perfect for those friends you never know what to buy!) such as How to Tell If Your Boyfriend is the Antichrist and the Porn for Women series.
Truly this store is a great place to visit when you've got some serious gift buying to do because you'll always find what you're looking for -- even if you don't know what that is in the first place! Their selection of gourmet sauces and teas are excellent choices for your favourite foodies with expensive tastes. They also have a wide variety of gifts perfect for your next baby shower, including the cutest baby clothes and toys.
And when you're done shopping (or as an energizing break before you start!), be sure to stop at the Blue Banana Market Coffee Shop just to the left of the entrance. The shop prides itself on selling only fair-trade coffee, as well as baked goods only from local Kensington bakeries Wanda's Pie in the Sky and Miss Cora's Kitchen. They also carry kid-friendly and healthy snacks too!
With its ever-changing stock showcasing some of the best T.O.'s creative side has to offer, the Blue Banana Market is a great place to visit when you're looking for that perfect gift -- or you just want a little something special for yourself.
