The PA-C, whose way of talking to patients would be much more suited for pediatric clients, seemed rather un-knowledgeable. My first visit, she just looked at the one-sided redness on my cheek and declared it rosacea without any clinical action that made me think that this was actually a proper diagnosis. She couldnt answer any question I had. I got a script for a lotion that - low and behold - didnt work. She told me that I should make a follow-up appointment on a day that the actual doctor was in so that he could take a look.
Second appointment:
I had to wait for 45 minutes in the treatment room. When she finally showed up, she apparently had not even consulted with the doctor. Took a look at my cheek, asked me if it got better (no), told me she'd talk to the doctor, left and just came back after a while without doctor. They "discussed" the case and she had a script for several weeks of antibiotic treatment - and otherwise a referral to a great cosmetic surgeon for laser treatment.
I feel like I did not get a proper diagnosis and not even adequate effort to come to a diagnosis.
She could not answer any questions I had and I wasted an entire afternoon for a total of 5 minutes with an un-knowledgeable PA. Never saw the doctor. Avoid.
