| - I so want to give this place more stars but my recent experience there was pretty awful. First off, on a positive note: incredible food. Best burrata I've had, and I've had a lot! Great craft cocktails and nice wine list. I took a friend out after a show; it was a very special occasion and we arrived over an hour before closing time (this is important to note). First off, the hostess was surly, exuding that air of superiority and annoyance of us coming in at 9:48pm-- they closed at ELEVEN that night. She proceeded to seat us in the farthest corner away from the front door, the bar, and all other diners. The table was actually really nice, but I think it contributed to the fact that we were neglected the entire time. It literally took about 3 min to be greeted, let alone get water. 3 minutes is a long time in this type of scenario. I'm not exaggerating. I've been in the service industry for 20 years as a manager, server, etc, and I timed it -- it was that bad. Once the server came over she was nothing but perfunctory, with little to no personality. She made us feel like she couldn't wait to get us in and out. I had planned on spending a lot of money for this dinner (which I still did, considering menu prices but I knew that going in); however, I would have splurged more if I hadn't just wanted to get the experience over with. Won't return anytime soon.
