| - I typically don't even post reviews anywhere, but our experience was bad enough to warrant this.
We usually go to a different urgent care, but unfortunately, they had about a two hour wait time. I had two sick three year olds who were already not having a great day, and would definitely not have waited that long, so we came here instead. They said we would have about a 40 minute wait, and we did. The staff at the front was very friendly and honest.
We didn't experience a problem until we saw the doctor. I honestly don't even remember his name (nor would I have known because I didn't get to take any paperwork home with me regarding the visit). He was an older gentleman, who gave me an odd feeling to begin with. Anyways, one of my boys ended up having an ear infection and tonsillitis. The other was already being treated for an ear infection, but had to come along with. The doctor asked ME what he should prescribe my son! He said that he didn't know what to prescribe him because he had reactions to penicillin type drugs, and that was all he knew to treat with. Luckily, I knew the drug my other son was on because he, too, had problems with amoxicillin, and I told the doctor the exact name, dosage, etc. My boys are twins, who are very similar in height and weight, and both ended up having the same condition, so I figured it might be something to use. Well, the doctor told me that he wasn't familiar with it (Cefdinir) and ended up calculating a different dosage, based on his information. He sent the prescription off and we left (with no paperwork or information). I then spent the next four hours going back and forth between their office and my pharmacy because the pharmacist wouldn't fill the prescription based on the doctor's notes because he had calculated the dosage for an adult, not a 40 pound child.
Anyways, to make a really long story and terrible experience short, I will never come back here again. I basically paid them for nothing, since I had to tell the doctor what my son needed, AND fight with their office and my pharmacy to get the prescription right. (It should be noted though that the woman at the office who helped me straighten this prescription issue out was extremely helpful and friendly). It was just their doctor that was a complete idiot.
