We came to the Elara for the weekend. We arrived on Friday and checked in. Nice 1bedroom suite with jacuzzi and full kitchen, all the nice stuff that other posts talk about. Friday night we discovered the jacuzzi jets didn't work, the bathroom sinks drained very very slow and it took three flushes to get toilet paper to go down. Saturday morning I called downstairs. While waiting I found out the plug in the kitchen sink didn't hold water. We called again in the afternoon and were told the call was cleared right after we called ( meaning things were fixed), they finally showed up and the maintenance guy told my husband we needed to scrape the sensor on the spa with a quarter to get the jets to work ( really! That wasn't in the instruction manual... and he didn't offer up a quarter! He then proceeded to tell me I wasn't flushing properly( it's not a new concept for me... really) and the sinks don't have vents so they are slow... no my husband told him they were clogged... the maintenance guy finally took things apart and unclogged the hair. Housekeeping brought us a working kitchen plug but couldn't find us a page that told us what the tv channels were ... that page was out of our instruction book. The person who called to follow up gave us a 40 dollar credit on our room for the Starbucks in the lobby. Let me tell you what 40 bucks buys... four coffees and two sandwiches every one wrong ... but after standing in line 10 minutes it wasn't worth hassling them.
We had to attend a sales pitch presentation... kind of funny... the price? 65,000 dollars! 1,300 a month! I can stay in quite a few places for that kind of money! But it won't be at a Hilton vacation destination!
They rest of the weekend was great but it didn't have anything to do with Hilton.
