  • At first I thought everyone wasn't giving CenturyLink a fair chance, because I figured they'd improved their service as far as internet went. However, there is one huge issue with this, their customer service. It is by far the worst. I've been with them for almost 3 years too long. Every single time I have gone to renew my service, whoever is on the phone with me leaves out pertinent details which results in me getting stuck with bills I never agreed to. When you call to speak to a supervisor, prepare to be on hold for a very long time - I was on hold for one whole hour once! Then, if you make it that far, don't expect any empathy towards all the hassle and stress they have put you through. They do not know what it means to own up to their salesmen's mistakes. The whole saying, "The Customer is Always Right" never even made it to their vocabulary, because they do not care if someone told you the wrong information. The supervisor on the phone with me, I told them they lacked empathy towards my situation and all of my terrible experiences, and they were more focused on letting me know I meant sympathy not empathy! Really, it is EMPATHY. This time, even though I've only been with them for about 3 years, this is my 5th round of a year service agreement where I just found out once again, I was told FALSE information. My one year at $20 plus tax a month only was valid for the first 6 months... interesting no one told me this! The customer service agent online told me I could speak to a supervisor in the morning, but honestly after all the annoyance and apathy I receive from anyone on the phone, it's not worth it. I will be leaving them and gladly paying a higher price with someone else to avoid having to deal with the terrible customer service at CenturyLink. When I ask to pay a price for a whole year...discounted or not, I expect that price.
