I have stayed here a two times and I am not sure why I returned the second time. The first time I checked in, the staff was very rude and seemed rushed. I didn't think too much of it.
The second time around I had an altercation with security who accused me of trying to keep guests overnight in the room who were not registered. I told him that the guests were simply picking up their belongings and leaving and he could wait outside our room to ensure that the guests would leave. The security literally told my friend that she wasn't even allowed in the lobby and made her wait outside in the pouring rain at night. I was so embarrassed that a hotel I selected was causing so much fuss.
I contacted the manager and he emailed back saying that it was our fault. I found on their facebook page that this is quite common at the hotel and they treat all their "younger" guests with the assumption that we are holding parties and trying to sneak in guests. I have never been more humiliated and treated with disgust by a hotel before and I have stayed in hotels all over the world.
STAY AWAY- there are plenty of amazing hotels downtown who do not judge and are accommodating to the needs of their guests- try Doubletree by Hilton, Mariott and the Grand hotel- all amazing and CARING.
