  • I really love this place. The cupcakes are sometimes good and sometimes great. Once I had a gingerbread cupcake that was to die for. I think it had a hint of lemon in the frosting. They pretty reliably have vegan options. Once they were out of vegan cupcakes and gave me a free vegan chocolate chip cookie. You would think that a chocolate chip cookie could not step in and fill the shoes of a cupcake when someone had cupcake in mind, but that was a damn good chocolate chip cookie. What really makes me a fan of Dozen Bake Shop is the clever design and completely comfortable atmosphere. The owner and employees are friendly and often chat you up. I could spend a considerable chunk of time hanging out with a laptop, a cupcake, and a soy latte that does not disappoint, and I'm not one to do that a lot. Also, the strawberry lemonade: hell yes.
