  • After going up and down Mont Royal, my friend and I finally decided to sit down and have a mid-day snack. Upon her recommendation, we had picked up two kouign amann's from this bakery with the same name. After hearing that there can be huge line ups for this pastry, I was excited to try! Atmosphere: 3/5 The bakery itself is simple but adequate; very few seating available and most people tend to take out their pastries Food: 4/5 This is the first time I've had kouign amann - it is a puffy Breton cake with butter and sugar - comes in a huge circle and we each had a piece. Great tasting!! Not too buttery or sweet but satisfying and light enough. Price: 3.5/5 Very reasonable for this delicious pastry Service: 4/5 Friendly and good explanation of the pastries Overall: 4/5 simple bakery yet very delicious kouign amann! I would definitely be interested in trying some of their other pastries =) Apparently there is also a coffee house back home that serves the same ...that I would need to check out soon
