  • Went to St. Rose San Martin campus with a bowel impaction. Blood & urine taken, x-rays done all without seeing a Doctor. Enema given leaning over a toilet in a public restroom off of the Emergency Room hall by an assistant not trained to lubricate - very painful. Had to ask twice for a bag to put my enema soaked sox in. They said "your good to go", I still hadn't seen a Doctor. They sent a bill to my insurance company for over $3,000. in lab and x-ray and another $3,000 in Emergency Room fees. The Doctor who ran up this $6,000 bill sent a bill for $825.to my insurance company for his services. I never saw this doctor - apparently his only function was to run up the bill. My family physician told me he never received the results of the $3,000 in lab and x-ray despite being listed as a St Rose physician and on the registration as referring physician. My Doctor told me to write a letter of complaint to St. Rose as this was my only recourse for a very unpleasant $6,000 enema! My one star recommendation should speak for itself!
