  • This has got to be one of the most confusing set up for any first timers coming in to check out the Mi Lounge which is all the way in the back of the pool hall through a set of conspicuous looking metal push doors. We were a group of 8 people in our late 30s to early 40s looking to grab some drinks after dinner and possibly partake in the pool hall/karaoke that Mi Lounge's website said it offered. Let's just say that the pool hall we walked through was packed with a very young crowd and when a few of us actually walked through the said metal push doors to check out Mi Lounge, we were so disappointed at how different the set up looked from all the photos on their website. The lounge area was very small and crammed with mini high backed chairs arranged like small sectionals. There was a bad Chinese karaoke background music blaring and right away we knew we had made a mistake coming here. Our group is no stranger to pool halls and karaokes but this was nowhere near up to par. And if you can believe it, things got even worse when we mistakenly walked through the unmarked door that led to the Mix2 karaoke. The hostess informed us that there would be a minimum charge of $200 for the night. Since we were already there and not wanting to waste time driving to another place (and against our better judgement), we decided to stay and give them a try. As if the $200 minimum charge for the room wasn't bad enough, the drinks came out slowly and the room temperature beers were just not cutting it for us. We had to download their very glitchy app on our phones to navigate through what seemed like endless list of Chinese songs to find one English song. And when we did fine one, it turned out to be a music video, not a karaoke song! We repeated asked the front desk to help us navigate through their system, the staff simply shrugged their shoulders and said, "some songs are without words" which in our case, were most of the songs we had put in. After a very frustrating 45 mins, we decided to cut our loss and head over to Take One where we had been to before with more reliable selection of English songs and drinks. MIX2 is mixed up in a very bad way with terrible service and poor selection of music and it's very safe to say we will never return.
