| - Social House is located down a rather narrow stretch of the Crystal Mall by Aria. They were rather quiet when I stopped by for their Happy Hour at the bar. Unfortunately, I think this tends to be the trend - good for me, bad for them.
The staff manning the bar and lounge area were nice and friendly enough, as were my closest neighbors along the bar. Their aptly named Social Hour Menu is offered from 5pm-8pm daily. It isn't large, and was pretty much meat-centric, but had a decent variety.
I considered my appetite and decided to go with:
.Cod Bibb Lettuce Cups $10 citrus peel miso cod, bibb lettuce cups, 2 pieces
.Ramen Noodles $8 choice of Tonkotsu or Miso, pork belly add on $2
The cod lettuce cups were pretty tiny in size but completely the opposite on taste. The miso cod had a richness that reminded me of Chilean sea bass; my favorite (yet sadly endangered) fish.
The ramen was a bit forgetful. But then I did just so happen to have enjoyed Santouka's ramen with its spoon-worthy broth and tender pork but two weeks prior. Admittedly, not quite a fair fight. But as a filler, it did well enough. I could have made a nice light meal of 5 pieces of the cod cups, but I doubt they'd have sold me a half order, and at $25, it would a bit heavy on the wallet.
Anywho, if you are in the area, I do recommend hitting this place up for their Happy Hour.
