| - From the moment I walked into Gravity Espresso & Wine Bar I knew it would become one of my favorite destinations. The minimalistic layout, decoration and seating arrangement is reminiscent of one of my other favorite locales, Phil & Sebastian Coffee Roasters in Marda Loop. Crisp and inviting, with great vertical space that gives the cafe an airy and fresh atmosphere.
The modest but impressive menu is filled with a tasty assortment of decadent panini's and fresh pastries, while the coffee, wine and scotch menus offer a host of sweet and savoury offerings to please any palate. I spent a blissful afternoon enjoying a perfectly-prepared cappuccino, flaky pain au chocolat -- a rarity outside Europe -- and bowl of seasoned olives. The staff are warm and polite, providing excellent service, even to your table. Outdoor seating, free Wi-Fi for customers, a tasteful art collection, community bookshelf and stream of inviting music played at just the right level only add to the charm and appeal of this unique cafe. The extended hours on Friday and Saturday -- which finally offers a pub alternative for the many of us looking for a late night brew or glass of wine in a tasteful, comfortable locale -- is truly the cherry on top of this new destination cafe. I'm certain I'll be spending many summer hours here. And autumn hours. And winter hours.
