My first professional gel mani/pedi in probably about 5 years--I know... it was time.
Normally you're asking to be disappointed when you're rushing around before a trip and you drop-in to grab a quick mani/pedi. But not at Liz Nails! This place was not only recommended by the Yelp community, but also from my gal friends on facey-space. So I gave them a try on a Monday afternoon... when I was in a mad rush... right before I left for a trip. Yep, I did that to myself.
But the Liz Nails folks handled it perfectly. I stepped in the same time as another lady looking for the same gel mani/pedi service. I mentioned I was in a big hurry and without a minute passing the had invited both this lady and I to the back to get our pedicures started. Without skimping on service, the gentleman helping me got me through a great pedicure without delay. In fact, the longest part of the whole process was picking out the damn nail color. Then my first gel manicure was a great experience! It went quickly and has lasted well over a week at this point. He did it perfectly and I can't wait to come back to get my next manicure.
One thing I think that could be improved on is the color selection. It's not that they don't have a lot of colors, but normally when I've gone to nail salons they have displays out with new, relevant and seasonal color lines. This is helpful to those of us who don't get our nails done often and are really indecisive. I think I'll just come in better prepared next time.
The price was around what I remember when I used to get my nails done more often. I think next time I"ll just get my toe nails painted (not a full pedi) when I get my gel manicure. And hopefully the service always stays this good!
