  • I can't say enough about the positive experience I had at Palo Verde. Dr. Ross Babcock is an amazing vet. He is very knowledgeable, very personable, very caring for both you and your pet, and most importantly he is honest. I took my African Grey, Ruby, there for a second opinion. They knew it was important to me so they squeezed me in quickly. From the time I walked in I knew I had chosen the right place. I didn't wait long before I was taken back where a very competent and friendly tech got us set up in a room and weighed Ruby. Soon Dr. Babcock came in and performed a thorough examination. He reviewed the test results I had given him and spent a great deal of time discussing what could be wrong with Ruby, possible diagnostic tests we could do, how I can improve her diet and helped me decide a course of action. He did not recommend any tests that would just cost me a lot of money with little or no result in her treatment. He did not sell me anything that would not help Ruby as had just happened to me at another vet. He explained all my options and possible outcomes and let me make the best decision for Ruby. Dr. Babcock answered all of my questions and when I left I felt I had the best professional advice that I could get. Dr. Babcock is even available for emergencies no matter what time of night. He is a truly dedicated veterinarian and definitely an expert on birds. The staff in the office is very helpful and friendly as well. I highly recommend Palo Verde Animal Hospital.
