Wicked, wicked, wicked, wicked... *cue Future song*
I was pretty excited about trying Wicked Spoon since I heard so much about this compared to Bacchanal.
My group and I was a table of 7 and we lined up right before they opened for dinner. The line went through quickly and it was priced at $38.00 per person for a Tuesday evening.
Once we got seated I ordered OJ, Rasberry Iced Tea (my favorite) and a Coke. I was starving and the hangry in me was about to be released... I started at the end of the buffet which is the Asian cuisine and they lacked a lot of variety, I was pretty disappointed with the Asian area. The only A+ item they had was Pho, the oxtail soup was super flavorful. Other than that it was just eh.
Continuing down the line... I picked up Five Spice Roasted Pork Belly, which in my opinion was cut too think and not crispy enough and lacked seasoning. A little salty. Then came across the prime rib which was RAWWWWW very very pink, I myself am not too big of a fan but all my friends were. Next time was the Pesto Kale Gnocchi which was so flavorful and fantastic, gnocchi was cooked perfectly! I never was a big of Gnocchi either. Next stop... The Margartia pizza was good! Simple but ther ingredients tasted extra fresh. I also tried their other pizzas but forgot the names but all were very good!
My favorite of all time... BONE MARROW WITH DIJON CRUST... you just gotta try it. There are no words to describe how perfect it was. Along with the crab legs, they were so meaty and juicy and perfect dipped in butter.
I would definitely ruin if I was feeling fancy but if I wanted a buffet with more variety I would pick Bacchanal.
