| - Update 9/9/2016 - you know how sometimes, things get better after time? Well, these guys certainly don't. I stopped in mostly to get my car clean on the inside. Not to have it "detailed" mind you (which is their code for an armor-all bath that no one wants) but to just wipe it down and get rid of the dust that we all end up with. Well, the ticket writer just didn't want to even consider it. In fact "we don't do that" came out of his mouth 3 times in 2 minutes, until of course I offered to pay extra. After that, it was a quick ticket and I was headed to the cashier, silly me. What did I ACTUALLY get instead? I got the express armor-all bath on the inside of my car, which I expressly told him I definitely did not want. So, after spending extra, tipping well above normal, I took my car with its smeared, slathered, oily as a bodybuilder car home and spent an hour wiping it down. For the love of god Cobblestone, really??
Well, sometimes you have to learn the hard way. As you've seen by my previous review of Cobblestone, I have not enjoyed much I the way of service from this place. Let's be honest; a car wash isn't a difficult process. Sadly, I went back to give it another chance. First, the Customer Service team just stands and stares at you, finally gets a ticket done, then....wait, wait, wait for one of the line managers, supervisors, drivers, or possibly a volunteer to move the cars to the wash that were vacuumed 10 minutes ago and still sitting. Then, once you've practiced your patience, head to the waiting area. Again, Tyler and his team on the finish line are in absolutely no hurry to wipe the drying water spots off your car, let alone scrub the bugs off the front, or even do the Windows (yep, you guys missed all 3 of these, which are the only 3 things you have to do).
Does Cobblestone suck? Yes. Do they care when you bring it up calmly and professionally to a supervisor? No.
I do recommend if you need your car washed with some deal of effort to go to Johnson's Family Wash on Tatum just south of Cactus. It's the old Danny's Car Wash, and they do a pretty good job.
