| - Place is rough around the edges right now as they have a major transition underway - it was formerly "Rumor" the failed kinky adult-themed hotel, now they're switching gears entirely to a "serene peace and quiet" type of theme. Like, when I stayed, the pool area was just a messy pile of construction stuff everywhere.
A lot of stuff is missing from something that has aspirations to being an upper-end resort. At present it's not anything more than a lower-end casino-hotel room or 2* hotel. I stayed on a weekend for about $50 a night, and I know that low price was due to the renovations so maybe they'll fix these issues going forward, but as it is right now I wouldn't pay any more than $50 for it.
Good things about the room: Wall safe, comfy bed, decent cable package with three HBOs and Starz, nicer-than-usual shower.
Bad things about the room: No fridge, no coffee maker (no free coffee in the lobby in the morning either), not even a basic continental breakfast, no alarm clock (or anything at all to keep time with besides the TV channel guide), really worn and nasty-looking carpets, wifi was slow and unreliable, no chair for the desk.
If they plan on making this a triple-digits-a-night resort there is a lot of work to do. Right now it only really works as a decent budget stay for a low price. The basics of the room were fine, but all you get for your money is the basics.
