This review is for the sushi bar. I found the fish to be somewhat rubbery and the rice soggy. The rolls were not wrapped tightly causing me to separate the fish to eat as an inspired sashimi.
I found the atmosphere as most Pittsburgh sushi restaurants to be somewhat tacky. To lure the crowds in they have the loud hibachi tables setup for the novelty inspired Pittsburghers. I sat at the sushi bar where the oil infused exhaust from the hibachi tables crept over leaving for a somewhat ghastly atmosphere.
The waitress reminded me of someone from Applebee's, ultra chipper, bubbly and unable to answer basic questions about the fish. The prices were much higher than other sushi restaurants in the area and based on several recommendations I can only conclude that Nakama is over rated when it comes to sushi. I refuse to lower myself to sit at or eat from a hibachi table so maybe by these standards this Wexford establishment is superior to others.
