  • Went into the Summerlin location during my lunch hour to use my Best Buy rewards certificate that had been emailed to me. I have had a previous problem at this location using the certificates on my phone but I also have had a manager able to figure it out. Today I had the good fortune of coming in when 3 clueless individuals were working, one of whom was apparently a "manager." When she couldn't figure out how to use it, she actually had the gall to tell me that there was nothing she could do and I needed to "call corporate." That's how the person in charge deals with their ignorance and lack of training - make the customer figure it out. How about you calling corporate instead of dishonoring a coupon issued by your corporation? The attitude was so dismissive and completely "I'm here just collecting a paycheck." I was so annoyed and made the decision I would never shop there again, I asked them to delete my account from their system - of course her answer again was that I needed to "call corporate." Well, I did "call corporate" and did have them delete my account and I will never buy from Best Buy in the future again. I recently purchased a computer from this location and I whole-heartedly regret that I did. It wasn't a deal; it was just convenient at the time to buy it there. I won't make that mistake again. And what I recommend to others (which is what I plan on doing) if you encounter the same attitude, is report them to the FTC at www.ftc.gov for failure to honor their corporate coupons which place no restrictions on use in store. Maybe then they won't tell you to "call corporate" next time.
