I'm a Marriott Rewards Gold member and spend lots of leisure trips and business trips at Marriott brand hotels. The Buttes, unfortunately, did not meet my expectations. The service was good, but the rooms were quite outdated and the food (room service and The Top of The Rock Restaurant) was mediocre at best. There was a strange, unpleasant smell in our hallway and room foyer, as well. On the bright side, the spa was fabulous. I had an 80 minute massage that rocked my world. Overall, however, I was pretty underwhelmed by this resort.
