Had a great meal with the wife and kids. It would have been a great night to sit out on the patio, but we were happy we chose to take up 4 of the 9 seats inside this charming old and very small diner.
The staff were very friendly and we all enjoyed watching their team get the food out of that tiny kitchen. We were made to feel very welcome and in speaking to the staff it was obvious that they had great pride in the restaurant. They passed along some history on the building, formerly from Winslow. We loved the fact that we were sitting in a piece of genuine Americana.
Ordered the andouille corn dogs and pulled pork topped fries for a starter, they were great! The Mac n cheese, burgers and chicken biscuit that followed were also excellent. We washed them down with pumpkin porters and bottled cokes. And the beignets we were served for dessert were equally delicious.
Bottom line. We left stuffed and happy. A very memorable meal produced by a great team. We will be back.
