| - I have had dogs all my life, so I have also experienced a variety of veterinarians throughout my life! I've had some great vets and I've had some OK vets, but I have finally found an extraordinary vet in Dr Smith and the entire staff at Crossroads. We were referred to her by our relocation coordinator. One morning, my elderly dog, Shelby, began falling over for no apparent reason. I suspected she had had a stroke, which was beyond devastating given that we had been together for 16 years, and now we just moved to Phoenix. We were able to get Shelby in almost immediately, and Dr Smith confirmed the worst. Although she did not know me, I was a brand new patient, Dr. Smith and her assistant came out after work to be in our backyard where we could celebrate Shelby's life and let her go from our home. I will never forget this act of kindness and compassion. But that's just who this woman is. Every one of the women (all female staff) I've worked with or talked with at Crossroads has the same type of energy: very knowledgeable, very compassionate, very patient, and extremely understanding. I I literally would not take my animals anywhere else.
