I'm pretty low maintenance when it comes to the gym, I use about 5 machines for arms/legs/abs and then follow with cardio. This gym gets the job done.
I don't like dealing with sales people or really anyone when I work out, so I was happy to buy the 3 year plan for any LA fitness which keeps the personal fitness hawks out of my hair. I will say from observation, I'm kind of surprised by how out of shape the personal trainers I've seen are...but maybe they're on their own journeys in fitness as well. Paying as much as I did, I expected a little more from LA fit. Other gyms have nice locker rooms with complimentary towels and toiletries, I'm not super impressed with LA's amenities. However there always seems to be a gym wherever I travel, and with my fitness plan that is worth the money!
Beware at this location specifically-- it's GHETTO as soon as you walk out the door. People come up to me asking for money, I was followed when I walked to the nearby Starbucks (and then my drink got stolen by someone else lol) so I've started bringing pepper spray.
To sum it up; solid place to work out with equipment that works. You'd probably save money and get better results with an outside trainer, and work out your arms while you're in there because you might need to throw a punch at someone when you walk out.
