  • If this were an episode of Iron Chef and the secret ingredient was RUBBER, there's no doubt in my mind that La Louisiane would walk away with the grand prize. The chicken was overcooked and rubbery, the shrimp was overcooked and rubbery, the single piece of sausage in the jumbalaya was overcooked and rubbery, the sweet potato fries were overcooked and inexplicably rubbery - honestly, they'd have had the challenge in the bag! I could also talk about the sad side of veg or the gluggy rice, but honestly, they just weren't rubbery enough for my tastes. On the plus side, the service was exceptional and the ambience was top notch. And judging by the other reviews, maybe I just caught them on a bad night. Oh well, c'est la vie!
