  • Cactus Garage Doors was sent to my home by my home warranty company. Cactus came out to my home to assess my garage door. I had not altered my door in anyway and it had been operating in it's existing state for 8 years. The previous home owners had installed insulation on the door; however, it was like that for 8 years. Cactus stated the garage door opener broke because of the insulation (even though it had been there for 8 years; I checked w/ the home owner). They told my home warranty company that it was not consistent with normal use and my claim was denied. I disputed my claim to have AAA Action Garage Door opener state, that insulation is approved for the opener, the gear malfunctioned and needs to be replaced, the weight is not a factor here and I was lied to. My home warranty company approved the claim and garage door fixed. The tech that came out blatantly lied to pull an extra $700 from a single working mother. He got rude, nasty, and made me nervous. I live in Rhodes Ranch and was very close to calling security to having him escorted out of my neighborhood. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
