first visit was made on a Wednesday for their $1 oyster night. we arrived at 6:25 and chose to sit outside. table was wobbly and chairs were missing arm pads. seriously?
we placed our order - calamari to start, 3 dozen oysters and their $24 lobster boil
and we waited.
and waited.
and waited.
7:45 and all we've had to eat is the calamari. we still have not received our food.
long story short - we were seriously aggravated by then and just wanted to go. the manager comped our dinner if we wanted to wait a little bit longer.
8:00pm and 1 dozen (of the 3 doz) oysters and the lobster arrives. I'm literally dying of starvation at this point. and on a serious time crunch. we ate the comped dozen and the lobster and left.
I don't understand how an establishment like this lets something like that happen. we were not the only ones waiting for food. everyone around us were waiting as well. massive breakdown in the kitchen along with overbooking tables and not holding the door will result in a disastrous dinner service
on the up side - our server was james and he was great. I had a ton of questions and he was very accommodating in between rushing to each table, making sure everyone had what they needed and pacifying irritated customers.
they dozen oysters we got to taste were great. very fresh and succulent. lobster was rushed and not completely done. inside was runny with tons of uncooked liquids.
service and oysters were great and we will try again. maybe come a little earlier.
