| - I had been going to Bella for years for gynecology and they were fantastic. OB was another thing. They are receiving the 2 stars for the gynecology service I received.
They were very nice and understanding of all of my issues I had growing up and would never question when I had another problem arise and would always give me the prescription I wanted with no questions asked. Kim and Dr. Tehranchi were great with making sure I was well and that everything looked good. Then I got pregnant and went to them because I had always liked them.
It all started when I was scheduled to see Dr. Tehranchi but was then put with another Dr. that was new to the practice. I understand that things happen with deliveries etc. but I never got to see the Dr. I requested. The Dr. I was put with did not make me feel important or that my questions were normal for a first time parent. Every time I went in, I felt like I was a burden and they wanted me out as fast as possible. Then came the routine blood work for pregnancy. I went to the lab to get the blood work done. Fine. No one from Bella called me to let me know the results of my blood work! The Dr. did not even tell me the results at my next appointment. I had to look when I requested my records.
It got even more frustrating when I took the genetic screening test. I set up the in home blood draw, waited the excruciating two weeks for the results only to have the test yield "No Results." I had to find the results on my own through the testing site because once again, I never received a call from the Dr. to let me know what the results were. I then proceeded to call the Dr. about the results and was told that I would get a call back. That call never happened so, naturally, I was freaking out after reading what a no results test could be. At this point, I was done with the unprofessional practices and chose to leave Bella for another Dr.
I thought I was done dealing with their unprofessionalism until I received a bill from the lab a few months later for a $955.00 test. My Dr. told me this test would be covered by insurance but low and behold, it wasn't. No one in the office bothered to check before running the test. When I called, they pretty much gave me the, "sorry, there is nothing we can do," so I am now stuck paying for a test that is the equivalent to my entire paycheck! This comes with months of being told I would get a call back from someone in the office. I never received a call and was always the one that had to call back to speak to someone. It took me a month just to speak to the manager of the practice. A month... really? Now I am stuck trying to appeal the bill with insurance. If you want good OB care, this is not the place.
