Grand opening! I have waited for this day for a whole year, ever since rumours started popping up that I may be rescued from my grocery-shopping misery. I never thought I would see this day during my lifetime, considering the slow construction of the place until just three weeks ago!
They really hyped up the opening and were greeted by a line up of store-goers, spectacle-watchers, and gift card-snatchers running from Church St all the way past Yonge & College. The inside is GINORMOUS, like so big that if you lose your toddler there... Yikes, you are in hell of a lot of trouble.
I really approve of their extremely accessible wide wide aisles. You could probably fit 4 shopping carts/scooters/wheelchairs or 15 little babies sitting side by side. Prices seemed decent. I saw a lot of yellow sale tags. But for those in the area who are actually trying to go here for some groceries, you may have to wait a little while longer. Right now it is just a zoo for people trying to get in on the exciting action. I really sincerely hope that they'll have downtime soon because otherwise it is just a small-grocery-store-nightmare repeated x 5 billion and really high ceilings.
One thing I unfortunately have realized: I really might have to start going to the gym if I intend to have my regular grocery needs met here. My stamina can't handle this right now.
