| - I came here when they first opened and all I remember is the service being absolutely horrific. Fast forward a few years and I decided to try again. Service this time had greatly improved; we had an attentive and friendly waiter.
Wine list selection by the glass is just OK; the brunello vintage was that of a poor year but yet overpriced per glass ($24).
Food was OK. We started with one cheese, the mushrooms, and the romaine salad. The cheese was fantastic, paired with the bread. The salad was great (romaine) with a fantastic lemony Caesar dressing. The mushrooms were very cold and had a weird flavor with slabs of cold cheese on top.
Next, we had the rigatoni, risotto, side of potatoes and Brussels sprouts. The rigatoni was pretty great and I loved the risotto. But the sides were both cold, and lacked flavor. The Brussels sprouts were so fried they were completely black and limp.
For dessert, we had the cookie platter and limoncello soufflé. The cookies were ok. The lemon were great, and that's about it. The soufflé didn't really have any sort of limoncello flavor - it just tasted more like a vanilla soufflé.
All in all, I appreciated the refined service from last visit, but I probably wouldn't return. The food is just too inconsistent.
