NOLA is always on my list of go-to's for Market Square restaurants. I have had dinner and lunch here are various times and have always had an excellent meal.
My latest foray to NOLA was for drinks before a late dinner. So let's move on...
Atmosphere: Love the atmosphere at NOLA, it's why I continue to come back! I've been to New Orleans and it definitely takes me back. It has all the pomp and circumstance that I expect of the Big Easy. The one downfall was when I was visiting they had a jazz musician singing and while the music was fantastic, it was so loud I couldn't hear or talk to my date unless we were screaming at each other.
Service: Our bartender was fantastic! He chatted us up and answered questions we had about the drink menu. Made and muddled my drink in front of us. The drawbacks were the one drink is actually hard to drink bc there is so much stuff muddled into it, and then when I ordered wine they were out of wine glasses for a solid 30 minutes. For a busy downtown bar / restaurant, how do you run out of wine glasses?! Needless to say, neither ruined my experiences with our night, just minor inconveniences.
Drinks: Solid beer draft choice. Drink list was very interesting, but like I said above, it was hard to drink one of their cocktails because there was so much in it. Wine list was solid.
All in all, I'm always going to make NOLA a stop.
