| - Just had some of the best BBQ I've ever had in my life. Ribs were full of meat, charred just right, and the mild sauce was dynamic with multiple levels of flavor! The Broccoli and Cheese, Collard Greens (with bits of chicken?), Green Beans, and Mac & Cheese were outstanding. I got the cornbread (not a side), and it was quite tasty, kept in it's own plastic wrap.
The shop itself is humble, the seating area indoors is sparse, and there are some patio tables out front. The women behind the counter were super nice, and were happy to answer my questions. There was a nice stream of people coming in, mostly for take-out.
The hot sauce wasn't crazy-hot, but very good, added a little bite. But, if you don't have a high spice tolerance, you might stick with the mild sauce. Oh, my, this was soooo tasty! :D
After living in California for 24 years and having nothing but mostly fake BBQ, this is such a relief to have now that I've returned to Pittsburgh! I'm almost afraid to review it, because I'll have to wait in line for all you readers now. :( haha
