  • Ashley was amazing and I don't know how I would have endured active labor without her, especially during the 10 minutes of pushing that caught me completely off guard. She knew exactly what to do at every turn: back massages, hot water on my back, cool towels on my head. I can't explain how she knew exactly what I needed but somehow she did on a level that was so intuitive it's scary. I never once felt loss of control because I had her words and guidance there to help me. Her support from the first day I met her has been invaluable and that was in my first trimester. I keep telling everyone, "My doula had my baby." Because she really did! There was one line that she said that I can't even remember, but it made me harness every last ounce of strength to finally get my baby out into the world, without any medication, just how I wanted. I definitely want Ashley to "have my babies" in the future. The awesome experience I was able to have with her help is probably the only thing that could even get me thinking about going through that journey again this soon.
