| - Merp. Kobe, you conflict me. I have a Soft spot for you, being the first sushi restaurant I frequented in my early days of sushi discovery....I still like you, though, if not sometimes disappointed by you. In truth, I come in for the Happy Hour sushi. Have not tried AYCE.
As for HH, they have plenty of appetizers on the menu, to go along with basic rolls & sake specials. Yay! Nothing too creative on the rolls, but solid basics. With the rolls, you can end up with the same flavors over and over - so order with care.
One surprising dish is their chicken fingers with fries, which is almost always REALLY good. Which is weird... I know, but true. On a good night, the chicken is light, crisp and flavorful in Panko crust; that's a go to. Another pleasant surprise is their fresh and huge house salad. Overall, the ambiance is a comfortable vibe & the food and service is a combo of friendly & run-of-the-mill.
