| - This Whole Foods bakery is a bit hit-or-miss in my opinion. I'm often left feeling like I "should've loved something immensely" as it seemed to've been made from a place of bougie culture...however, I keep finding myself thinking the taste of my treats leave something to be desired...I think I've finally learned my lesson from one too many disappointing baked goods.
I tried a range of self-serve cookies and all proved to be mediocre and not worth writing home to grandma about, except for one in particular: the dark chocolate cream cheese truffle...it was soft, lightly chewy, melt-in l-your -mouth and outstanding with flavor. Exceptional, which lends to why I went back or a second on a separate trip.
Lastly, the only other worth mentioning, was the s'mores bar (me from the self-serve dessert section). This was mind-blowing. Extremely soft marshmallow topping, fabulous soft chocolate pudding-like texture in the middle and an awesome crispy crunchy graham bottom. That, was the winner.
Will I frequent this store often? Yes, when I'm in that part of town. Why?
-the staff is exceptionally friendly
-the store is clean
-the store is stocked and well-maintained
-all options (and more) can be found for any shopping list
-the kiosks make really fresh food
But will I bask in the self-serve bakery with total trust? Unfortunately, no...
