  • I will give OneGuard one star since I can't give them zero... We, (girlfriend and I) have had an existing claim with this company for over a month now for a washer whose motor went out. First off after starting the claim, two different "repair specialists" had to come out two separate times to diagnose the problem. After realizing the washer's motor was unrepairable (which actually is not the same diagnosis we got from another company...) a new washer was recommended and ordered by our claims rep. whom we will simply call M.C. Keep in mind this is a stackable unit. Of which the dryer is still operational but detachable... Then the new washer unit comes in. This is three weeks after the claim was originally started. On a Tuesday morning a the washer was attempted to be delivered by ONE rep. from the company. Apparently no one "told" the guy that this was meant to be part of a pair that needed to be stacked. He informed me that he wasn't qualified, and needed to bring another rep. out with him. Next day we are informed the appliance company doing the install would be charging us $90 to send out two people and install the washer any sane person would have known could not have been done by one man... Don't know who dropped the ball on this but OneGuard then offered to cover the install fee. So the next morning two men came out to do the install... After fiddling about for around 30 minutes the two men proceeded to haul all three appliances away. Turns out the new washer was unable to be attached to the existing dryer and they would have to take them back to the shop to attempt the attaching of the two since stacking them without attaching them would be unsafe and also void our warranty. M.C. then suggested to my lady that if her "husband" was handy that he (I) could build a shelf to set the dryer on, OR we could have the dryer left outside on our patio which we found out later would void the warranty on that unit. First of all: thanks for the assumption... Second: a project like that would not only come out of our own pocket by hiring a contractor, but would also require a building permit that would take at least another week. OneGuard, like I read in another review, hires incompetent handymen looking for a quick fix. Yesterday we even came home from a weekend trip to realize that as they hauled away our appliances, the two handymen failed to cap off the gas hose to our dryer leaving us unable to use our water heater. Now it has been an entire month since the washer broke and the two units appear to be completely incapable of being attached. We still have no laundry capabilities, no hot water, and the claim seems to have reached a stalemate. I will be writing another review once this has been resolved.
