| - It's about time Henderson gets some boba love 'round these parts. Smart move on Jozo to open up a shop on Paseo Verde and Stephanie -- it's right next to the freeway too for all the commuters wishing to get in on the trend of bottled boba. And yes, the bottle's yours to keep without additional charge. You do it for the 'gram, they do it for free advertisement. Genius! And if you return with it, you get a quarter off. The business aspect is thoroughly planned out.
Being fairly new, the 3 stars is just a placeholder. It's neither good or bad, just room to grow and improve. I was excited to try their MATCHA MILK TEA after several reviews raved about it, but to me it tasted watered down. I opted to add regular boba, which was good and chewy, but nothing exceptional. Their "ghost boba" sounds novel too, but I'm not adventurous enough to try spooky albino stuff yet... On a side note, my brother got the TARO ROOT TEA MILK TEA and he said that was good.
Have you ever been into a lobby of a yoga studio? That's what the ambiance reminds me of -- dimly lit, succulents and wood accents, and inspirational trinkets abound. You can tell they put forth the effort to create the artistic and mellow vibe, it works. My only complaint is there's not enough seating. People studying take up the quad picnic tables, even if they're solo.
Service wasn't that memorable. It might have been a bad day, but being a new business, people usually at least try. A simple "Have you been here before?" can be a great conversation opener.
Anyway, I'd be back to try their coffee beverages. I'd probably wait a few weeks to allow their kinks to get worked out. I'm happy that there's a boba spot on this side of town. It's a good place to take visitors once they get consistency down.
