I'm a salon hit-and-run, meaning I usually go to a different salon each time I need something professionally done to my hair. Mostly because the last salon just didn't quite cut it (pun unintended).
I went for a cut for my overgrown shaggy hair that started looking lifeless over the past year. And it was because I really DON'T TRUST anyone in this city with my long hair and I've tried my fair share of pricey/asian/ktown/glamour/hyped up salons and I never left with a cut I was truly happy with.
For a $40 cut, my hair feels light, healthy and Nana took a lot of time to layer the way I had asked and did not get creative from the pictures I showed her of what I had wanted. I already know having Jennifer Aniston's hair is impossible but the layering is pretty darn close. The other girl that had done my hair washing/massaging was wonderful - so wonderful and relaxing that in fact, my head kept noding off during the cut and they didn't slap me back awake. The location is so convenient right by Queen and Yonge and so, Kamiya is definitely a redo for a cagey salon person like me.
