| - Wow, what a romantic restaurant! The mood lighting, the breath-taking glittering view of the Las Vegas strip, the wonderful tentative waiters....what a beautiful night!! My boyfriend and I decided to celebrate Valentine's Day couple weekends later. We arrived around 7pm on a Monday night. Didn't get a window seat but we were close enough to see the floor-to-ceiling windows.
The minute we stepped foot in Alize, the service was on-point. Before we even sat our butts down in our chairs, we got 3+ waiters weighing on us hand and foot. One pulled out my chair, one offered me a purse holder thing that attaches to the table, and another checked my coat in. WOW! Talk about top notch service....Alize gives it to ya!
One thing I loved about Alize was portion control. They did not give us a basket of assorted breads. Instead, a waiter came by every so often and offered us three different kinds of bread. That helped me from constantly grabbing bread and getting full before my entrée arrived.
So we ordered:
Market Greens Salad-Asparagus, Hearts of Palm, Baby Artichokes, Tête de Moine, Balsamic Vinaigrette $18. -Very enjoyable salad....boyfriend loved it very much. I will tell you this though....the more your salad looks like it came from the backyard, the more expensive it is!!! =P haha!! I swear, some looks like my pet rabbit ate for her dinner!
For an entrée, I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass-Butternut Squash & Jewel Yam Purée, Brussels Sprouts, Hazelnut Pesto $48. WOW!!!! This was off the hook!! Flavoring was perfect. It was cooked to my liking...tender on the inside, charred just a bit on the outside. I'm normally not a fan of Brussels sprouts but I'm telling you, the flavoring and the way they grilled it was tasty.
Boyfriend ordered the Colorado Rack of Lamb- Bacon-Almond Baklava, Baba Ganoush, Cauliflower, Apricot Lamb Jus. $58 He enjoyed his dish very well and said most likely he'll get it again.
And to my fellow Yelpers, don't forget to check in because you get a free soufflé of your choice!! We got the Grand Mariner. Also, the chef sent us another small dish of complimentary desserts that consisted of sweets and macaroons.
Fancy restaurant. I liked how it felt like we were treated like royalty that night. ;) Always a plus! Definitely a return visit whenever the circumstance arises.
