| - I just purchased a new refrigerator from Sears online. It took them over a week to deliver. It's a French door Kenmore 27 cubic feet Stainless Steel. Received it a week ago, this last Tuesday I had to have a service tech out because it takes forever to make ice. The tech told me the temp in the freezer wasn't cold enough to make ice very fast, he turns down the temp Gage from 0 to-6, as of today I could make ice faster if I plugged in the fridge I replace with this one. The tech further tells me that the temp sensor is probably weak, if the ice maker now set at the lower temp doesn't make more I've that it and the mother board need to be replaced. A fridge not 5 days old needs parts to be replaced to get it to work. NO NO NO. I didn't buy a used lemon fridge, yes I have one. I tried to call Sears corporate, I needed to take two Valium and a beer, I still didn't get to talk to anyone. I then called the tech line, guess which country, if you guessed the Philippines you'd be right. After saying I didn't understand that about two dozen times I think he understood that I want another fridge delivered, but I'm not 100% sure.
I've always believed in Sears, but this has shaken my feelings about them.
