I went to this beautiful establishment last night for my wife's birthday dinner with her mother and father. It was relatively slow with only maybe 5 tables being waited. The setting is beautiful starting with the open walkway and outside seating throughout the surrounding buildings.
As for the food, we started with fried shrimp and calamari which was delightful. The calamari was cooked to perfection which is always a mighty task. We also ordered the baked olives which were tasty however they were just olives warmed up in a small cast iron skillet with oil and garlic. I would recommend adding a side of the grilled banquette they pair with the chefs stone.
For our meals we ordered the Pork Chop (Fantastic!), the House Pizza (Good but pretty spicy / I like spice!), the Mushroom pizza topped with Arugula (good share addition to the table) and the Chef's Stone (appetizer, I think they call it that). All of them were good however the Chef's Stone was overpriced for what you get. Not only that but the plate presentation was a little underwhelming for the $22.00 price tag. I suppose they are hoping people share the tag and the app with smoke and mirrors. Who knows!?
The service seemed a little slow and maybe new but they were smiling and polite so I cannot complain. I will be back.
Also, for my Wife's birthday they did treat us to a piece of chocolate cake with some vanilla caramel with sea salt dessert.
Note : Go on the days where they have Pizza and a Bottle of Wine for $20.00. Now that's a deal!
